To get great music, you've got to start with great wire. That's exactly what we've done.
We start with pure copper. It's not just some off-the-shelf wire. We have it made just for us, exactly to out specifications. Our wire is soft-annealed, which means it is drawn in such a way as to give it the smoothest surface possible. This process results in a superior sonic advantage over typical wire. Make the wire the typical way (fast and cheap) and you'll get a wire with rough surfaces and many imperfections.

Cables made with this rough, imperfect wire sound harsh, course and gritty. That's not good enough for Guerrilla Audio. It costs more to do it our way but we can hear the difference and you will too!

This soft annealing process gives our wire a smooth outer surface and extremely accurate sound. We insulate each individual strand of copper with Teflon® insulation to sonically and electrically isolate each individual strand of wire used in Guerrilla Audio cables.

We've designed our cables to sound better by reducing the Skin Effect.
We can't stand smeared sound. So, instead of just a couple of big, fat wires, we use four strands of our individually insulated solid-core 23 gauge Guerrilla Copper® wire. What is solid core wire? It is solid wire, not strands bunched together. This thin, solid-core wire sounds better than regular stranded wire. Why, using multiple strands of wire all insulated together and the wire acts like one big, fat wire. Fat wire has skin effect problems. It's much easier to use a couple of 'normal' size wires, but the physics of the matter is that music travels faster along the outside of the wire (the skin) than it does through the center of the wire. This is referred to as the Skin Effect. To avoid the Skin Effect you absolutely must use a thin wire.

When you use that 'normal' size wire, parts of your music will arrive at the other end of the cable at slightly different times. You see, the music traveling along the outside of the wire is arriving at the other end of the cable faster than the sound from the center of the wire. The result? Your music is now "smeared". This produces a fuzzy, grainy, and unfocused sound image. It makes you notice that the music isn't real. Some thing just isn't right. Guerrilla Interconnects are made with our thin, individually insulated, Guerrilla Copper wire that reduces this skin effect and delivers a sound filled with accuracy and a naturalness that cables using larger wire just cannot match. Each Guerrilla Cable is constructed by hand. Using 4 individual strands of this slender (23 gauge), individually insulated (twice) Guerrilla Copper wire, we weave the cable into a Litz design that produces a very neutral and unblemished sound. Using copper solder they are terminated with Genuine Eichmann Bullet® Copper RCA connectors.

Why do we use Eichmann terminations?
Simply put-they sound better than the rest. Why? Most RCAs exaggerate the skin effect. They do so because almost all RCAs are made from solid pieces of metal. When you feed your music through these solid RCAs, the signal is smeared-just like using fat wire.

Eichmann RCAs are designed with several engineering advancements that are not available to other manufacturers because Eichmann patented the design (US Patent no. 6,604,962). These RCAs are unique because the negative side of the Bullet Plug is not a large piece of metal. Instead, it is made from an engineering-grade polymer with one single point of electrical contact. The center pin is thin and hollow, unlike others, resulting in an uncommonly accurate connection. It's like having no connector at all, and it makes your music sound real!
