To make a great cable you must start with a great wire.
We use our Guerrilla Silver® wire. It's made especially for us, exactly to our specifications. It's 99.9995% pure silver. It is Soft-Annealed, which means we go to extra lengths to make the conductor surface as smooth as possible. It takes a lot of time to make wire this way, but it a radically superior wire for music. The result of all this extra special effort is a wire that sounds incredibly honest to your music and is guaranteed to satisfy the taste of any discriminating listener. You see, if you make wire the cheap and fast way, you get a wire with a rough surface and many imperfections. Cables made with this rough, imperfect wire sound brittle, course, and slightly disconnected. This cheap wire is the kind of silver wire that many people describe as harsh. Fat wire smears your sound.
Thin wire is more accurate and sounds better. You see, when you use 'fat' wire different parts of the signal (a.k.a. your sound) will arrive at the other end of the cable at slightly different times. The signal from the outside of the wire arrives at the end of the cable before the sound arrives from the center, and the highs arrive sooner than the lows. The result is music that is smeared. What you hear is a fuzzy and unfocused image that lacks in details. The culprit is called the Skin Effect and we want it gone! We use thin strands of our Guerrilla Silver® wire for it's sonic advantages over this fat wire.

To be honest, it's much easier to use big wire. However the physics of the matter is that the signal travels faster along the outside of the wire than through the center. Using a thin wire reduces this skin effect, which delivers a sound that is more true and real to the original. Our Balanced XLR Cables are constructed from 3 individual strands of this thin pure silver wire that are woven into a Litz-design. This "Litz" design not only keeps capacitance and inductance in check, as well as keeping crosstalk between the conductors to a minimum, it also results in a cable that is excellent in rejecting noise. After the cable is constructed it's encased with a dark jacket so your cables disappear into the background.
