All our wire is made especially for us, exactly to our specifications. The wire in our Copper XLR cable is 99.9999% pure copper. It's oxygen free and soft-annealed, which means we go to extra lengths to make the conductor surface as smooth as possible. It takes a lot of time to make wire this way, but it a radically superior wire for music. Then we insulate it with Teflon®. What does smooth wire do for your music anyway?
The result of all this extra effort is a wire that sounds incredibly honest to your music and is guaranteed to sound better than any other cable that costs up to 5 times as much!

Let me explain…When wire is formed the fast and cheap way you end up with a rough surface and many imperfections on the surface (which is also known as the 'skin' of the wire) of the wire. Cables made with this cheap and imperfect wire sound brittle, disconnected, and harsh. That's not good enough for Guerrilla Audio. It costs more to do it our way but we can hear the difference and you will too.

You should know that Fat wires smear your sound.
Thin wire is more accurate and sounds better too. You see, when you use 'fat' wire different parts of the signal (a.k.a. your sound) will arrive at the other end of the cable at slightly different times. This is because the signal from the outside of the wire arrives at the end of the cable before the sound arrives from the center (the treble and midrange especially are more sensitive to this than the bass). The result of using typical (fat) wire is music that is smeared from the original. When listening to this inferior wire you will hear a fuzzy and unfocused image that is lacking in details. The culprit is called the Skin Effect and we want it gone!

To be completely honest, it's way easier to use big fat wire, but simple physics shows us that the signal travels faster along the outside of the wire than through the center. Using a very thin wire removes this skin effect from our (human) range of hearing and delivers a sound that is more true and real to the original. These Balanced XLR Cables are constructed from 3 individual strands of this thin and pure copper wire that are woven into a Litz-design. This "Litz" design not only keeps capacitance and inductance in check (and reduces crosstalk between the conductors to a minimum); it also results in a cable that is excellent in rejecting noise. After the cable is constructed it's encased with a dark jacket that lets your cables disappear into the background.
